Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Beginning 10/15/16 represented employees may file a request to transfer to another shift within their job classification and within the Center which they work (CBA Article 8, Section 20). The period for filling a “shift preference” request will be from October 15, 2016 through October 30, 2016. Please file your request electronically so you will have electronic documentation you have completed this for your records. Any employee needing assistance filing a request, please contact your union representative and or Employee Relations. Deadline to file a request is October 30, 2016.

A reminder to any employee affected by the surplus that will take effect October 21, 2016 and who will not be eligible to “bump” into the Labor Pool, we will hold “Rapid Response” sessions on Thursday, October 20, 2016. We will be holding two (2) sessions, session one at 1:30pm and session 2 at 3:30pm. These sessions will take place in Bld. 3-61 in the Chinook PER Room. It will be facilitated by Matt Rogers (EI Facilitator). All affected employees please plan to attend. We will have representatives attending from PA State Labor, Unemployment, Career Link, and United Way. Additional and valuable information will be shared at these sessions.

Our UAW Leadership would like to recognize and give many thanks to Greg Fagan, Keith Wachter, and Scott Dorrin for continuing Bill Coskey’s (deceased UAW, V-22 Brother) cause for his yearly tradition of raising money for needy families in our community. This past Friday a fundraiser was held at Monaghan’s Pub for this cause. We are proud to inform our members that $2016.00 was raised during this event. We also thank Monaghan’s Pub for hosting this event and all who attended making this a success, and especially our guest bartender, Ron Duranto (Composite Fabricator). Additional fundraisers will be held throughout the year for our needy families in our communities.

Yours in solidarity,

Mike Tolassi, President
