Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The company has posted three (3) new internal job notifications on “Between the Blades” for any UAW Local 1069 employees wishing to apply. As of now, employees will not receive notifications for job openings through their “Careers @ Boeing” profile due to the transition from Total Access to Worklife. These issues are presently being addressed by the Company so that employees will be able to receive notifications in the near future. The current job openings are:

10A11; Flight Test Mechanic A, Req. ID # 00000151949, 1st shift.

UAW employees interested in applying for one of these positions please go on to the “Between the Blades” site and click on the hyperlink provided.
John Schwartz (V-22 Final Assembly Inspector) has volunteered to be the Voluntary Community Action Program (V-CAP) director and is forming a committee of volunteers to assist him. V-CAP is a non-partisan political arm of the UAW, which uses funds raised by local union members to support politicians who stand with working families, like yourself. V-CAP is not tied to any political party and only endorses federal and state candidates who support building strong communities of working class families. Contributions to this fund is solely voluntary and can only be given to political candidates. UNION DUES CANNOT BE USED FOR THIS PURPOSE. The UAW National Community Action Program Department suggests that each union member contribute $10.00 a month. However, any amount will be accepted and can easily be deducted from your paycheck.
What VCAP does: Helps members and their families register to vote, helps households make informed decisions at the ballot box by distributing voting records of elected officials, endorse candidates based on their voting record that supports working families, and organizes political volunteer work in states and communities. It also contributes to endorsed candidates from these funds, urges ALL UAW members and their families to vote in all elections, and conducts annual voluntary drives asking members to contribute to the UAW V-CAP. If anyone is interested in joining the V-CAP Committee contact John Schwartz at 215-915-8809.
Lastly, thank you to John Schwartz, Gary Stein, the co-chairs of the Veteran’s Committee, and to their team for their hard work last Thursday hosting the “Hot Dog” sale in V-22. A total of $1300.00 ($1050.00 hot dogs / $250.00 raffle) was raised for “Walk for the Wounded” and the “Michael Strange Foundation”. Many thanks to all employees who attended this great cause and generously donated.
In Solidarity,
Michael Tolassi, President
