UAW Local 1069

January 30, 2020
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Thank you UAW Local 1069 Brothers and Sisters for a job well done last year for once again realizing another positive payout in our “Philadelphia Performance Incentive Program” (PPIP). At the end of December 2019, we were at a 5-day payout. Congrats to all who completed the Industrial Athlete Program which earned us an additional day payout (6 days). We were informed by The Boeing Company last week that we were to receive a 6-day payout for the year 2019. Your UAW Leadership team worked very hard and very long on the formula used to calculate our payout and figured in some dynamics we believed was “missed” by The Company. Because of the many challenges we all faced last year, due to no fault of this membership (Workday/Work life, hiring issues, and staffing shortages) and the many more additional accomplishments YOU have made on our programs, we asked company leaders to re-evaluate their PPIP blueprint. Due to your leadership’s continuous efforts and persuasion, we are pleased to inform our members that we were able to achieve an additional day to afford us a 7-day payment. Our 7-day payout will be distributed to all UAW Local 1069 members on February 27, 2020. Keep up your remarkable accomplishments and let’s work together to bring our payout to over 7 days for this year.
John Mozzani (North Side Committeeman), Mike Barbacano (Benefit Rep / Financial Secretary) and I will be in Washington D.C. next week attending the UAW Community Action Program (CAP) Conference. We have scheduled meetings on Tuesday, February 4th with our political friends (Congressional and Senate Leaders) on Capitol Hill. You can be assured we will STRONGLY remind them where they receive their votes from and to continue to work hard for all of our programs based here at this site in Philadelphia/Ridley Park. Thank you to all who contribute to our V-CAP Program and a “shout-out” to our new hires who have signed up to donate to this fund. These contributions will help our political allies so they may continue to remain in office and to keep on lobbying for current and future programs at Boeing Philadelphia.
Lastly, we thank all of our members who attended our UAW Membership meeting this past Sunday, especially to our new hires who recently joined our ranks. As we do at every meeting, we strive to provide you with valuable information regarding your union activities and happenings in the plant. Please make it a priority to attend our Membership meeting Sunday, February 23, 2020. I am certain we will once again share with you much more valuable information and will surely address any and all concerns you may have.
