Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We wish to thank our Local 1069 Brothers and Sisters for your persistence by “calling” in maintenance and custodial work tickets to our Maintenance Clerk. Please continue to do so when you see issues in your shops and within our plant that need maintenance repairs and required janitorial services. We do notice the much lesser quality of work when our represented employees are NOT performing these tasks. The contact number for our Maintenance Clerk is 1-3515. Let’s continue to emphasize the importance of these efforts to be performed by employees who are represented by UAW Local 1069 exclusively.

Also, there will be a Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for this quarter in the amount of $0.08 effective April 2, 2021. The current maximum COLA amount for this unit is $0.94.

Applications are available for the 2021 UAW-Region 9-Thomas M. Fricano Scholarship Fund. You can get these applications at the Union Hall or download these forms from the Region 9 website (region9.uaw.org). The deadline for returning these applications is June 30, 2021.

Lastly, we continue to keep in contact with our UAW International Representatives and closely monitor the CDC guidelines for gathering restrictions. We do however anticipate these mandates will ease real soon and allow us to resume our membership meetings and get back to business. We certainly will keep our membership informed of all the latest developments. We do look forward to seeing all of you back down your Union Hall.
