Brothers and Sisters,

As you may already know at this point, President Tom Lyons has decided to resign
from his position effective close of business Thursday January 18, 2024. We would like to thank Tom for his years of dedicated service to our Union. Tom had served as a Shop Steward, Committeeman, Shop Chairman and President. Again, thank you Tom for everything you have done for this membership.

In unprecedented times within our workplace, the Committee believes this move will best serve the overall membership. Your committee’s intention is to show full transparency and strong Leadership in an effort to protect the best interest of our membership to the best of our abilities.

Going forward our committee would like to have your support and prove to this membership that this is only the first step in the process. The goal of this committee is to protect our membership and increase the strengths of our local. This will not be a short process and will not happen overnight, however we are committed to making progress in unifying and strengthening our union as it was in the recent past.
