NOTICE OF GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

The agenda will be as outlined in the Constitution of the UAW and the By-Laws Of Local
1069, UAW. In addition to the regular order of business, nominations will be accepted for (1)
Committeeman North Side. The Election will be held on Tuesday June 7, 2022 at the Union Hall, 1000 E. Fourth Street, Eddystone, PA 19022, 5:00AM to 8:00PM. Run-off Election, if necessary, will be on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, 5:00AM to 8:00PM.
The following articles and sections of our By-Laws should be noted:
ARTICLE VII, SECTION 3.: Any member being nominated for any office, delegate, or committee
At a meeting called for such purpose, will have three (3) calendar days following the meeting to accept
or decline the nomination.
ARTICLE VII, SECTION 4: Any member accepting nomination may withdraw his or her candidacy
Provided they notify the Election Committee in writing by registered mail within a period of five (5)
work days after such nomination.
ARTICLE VII, SECTION 5: A member will not be permitted to simultaneously hold two (2) elective
offices. If a member holding an elective office, the term of which is not expiring, desires to become a
candidate for another elective office, such member must notify the local union of his/her resignation
from his/her present office sufficiently in advance of the nomination meeting to permit nomination
and election of candidates for both offices during the same election. Such resignation would become
effective at the time of installation.
ARTICLE VII, SECTION 6: Eligibility of all members nominated must be verified by the Financial
Secretary-Treasurer/Benefits Representative.
ARTICLE VIII, SECTION 4: No member shall be eligible for election as an Executive Officer of the local
Union until he/she has been a member in continuous good standing in the local union for one (1) year
prior to the nomination.
ARTICLE XII, SECTION 2A: No member shall be eligible for election to the Shop Committee of the local
Union until he/she has been a Member in continuous good standing in the local union for one (1) year
Immediately prior to the date of nomination as verified by the Financial Secretary-Treasurer/Benefits
Representative.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Congratulations to our North Side Committeeman, John Mozzani. He will be joining our UAW International Committee, acting as our Region 9 “Servicing Representative.” John started with The Boeing Company as a “Pattern Maker” in 2007. He was quickly elected as our Shop Steward in 2008 serving our members in 3-07 building, carrying out a full, 3-year term. Thereafter, he was elected in 2011 as our UAW Local 1069 Committeeman until present. John has done great work for our Bargaining Committee and worked very hard serving our Sisters and Brothers. John will not be leaving us altogether. He will act on behalf of our facility as part of his field assignment duties. He will continue his great efforts for Local 1069 at our upcoming Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations. Best of luck to John. Carry on with the enthusiastic work you have been performing.
Please mark your calendars for Sunday, May 22, 2022. We will be holding our General Membership Meeting on this date. During our meeting, our agenda will include holding nominations for (1) Committeeman, North Side. Our meeting will begin promptly @ 10:00 AM. The address of our hall is:

Notice of this General Membership Meeting as well as ALL membership meetings are posted on our website (uawlocal1069.org) in addition to the physical postings on our UAW bulletin boards throughout the plant. If you are unsure where our bulletin boards are located, please see one of your union representatives for these locations.
Your UAW Local 1069 Bargaining Committee continues to work hard preparing for our upcoming CBA negotiations. If any member has not done so already, please submit your completed survey to one of our union representatives. We do read each and every survey to understand what is most important to each and every member. October 6, 2022 is fast approaching. Please prepare accordingly.
