Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Many thanks go out to all members of our Veteran’s Committee, all of the folks who volunteered their time to work with our committee, and to all employees in our plant who generously donated to the “Walk for the Wounded” foundation. All of us here collectively assisted in raising an astonishing $13,234.00 for this great cause. This was all made possible through our gate collections, “hot dog” sales, additional donations, shirts and other miscellaneous items sold throughout the plant. Hats off to our Veterans Committee who put together these events to help raise this amazing amount which will be donated to our men and women who served, continue to serve, and are a part of this group.
As a reminder there will not be a membership meeting on Sunday, May 27th, 2018. This date conflicts with the Memorial Day holiday. Also, we remind our members that we voted at our previous membership meeting to suspended meetings for the remainder of the summer and resume our meetings beginning September 23rd, 2018. I know all of our members have their calendars marked in anticipation of attending, so please make note of the meeting changes. We look forward to seeing all of you at our September membership meeting.
Memorial Day or Decoration Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering the people who died while serving in the country’s armed forces. The holiday, which is currently observed every year on the last Monday of May, will be held on May 28, 2018. Please enjoy your time off with family and friends and remember those gave their lives serving our country. Have a safe Memorial Day weekend.

STAY UNITED

Yours in Solidarity,

Michael A Tolassi
