October 10, 2022

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We are sure our membership is fully aware we are past the expiration of our current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Our present agreement with the Company expired on October 6, 2022. We are now in what is characterized as a 10-day “cooling off” period, which will expire at 11:59 PM on Sunday, October 16, 2022. During this time, we will continue to work diligently to secure a deserving, fair, and equitable agreement that meets the needs of ALL Sisters and Brothers in our great local.
At this present time, we are still very much far apart with The Company on many non-economic and economic proposals delivered from both sides of the table. Our membership is deserving of fair, and decent wages, continued affordable medical coverage, and good retirement benefits for all, along with many additional needs we rightly earned. We fully understand what is occurring in today’s economic environment and have thoroughly read each member survey to understand what is important to you. We will persist in trying to accomplish acquiring a CBA we all can live with.
It has been a long eight years. We have witnessed and endured many changes imposed by The Boeing Company that were not favorable to our members. We build the best aerospace products in the world and will continue to do so. We hope The Company recognizes our accomplishments over the decades and comes back with a worthy and satisfactory agreement.
At this present time, we do not have a tentative date set for our ratification vote. Once we receive an agreement that meets the needs of our Sisters and Brothers, we will then set the time and place for our meeting.
As we fast approach October 16, 2022, we will provide more information of the direction we are heading in through your Shop Stewards, written communications, and our website (uawlocal1069.org).
Stay Strong. We have your backs, please continue to have our backs.

In Solidarity,

Michael Tolassi
President
