Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Boeing Philadelphia has partnered with Crozer Health in providing COVID-19 vaccinations to all employees, site contractors, and DCMA personnel on Thursday, April 29th, and Friday, April 30th.
Registration will open in phases over the next several days. On-site Boeing Philadelphia employees will be given the opportunity to register first, followed by employees working off-site, contractors, and DCMA personnel.
Employees still can choose to secure appointments on their own at open vaccination sites elsewhere. All persons in the U.S. aged 16 and older are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine (18 and older for the Moderna vaccine).
Employees will receive an email for further information and details. Although employees are NOT required to get the vaccine, The Boeing Company requests that all employees be informed about the vaccine and take advantage of the opportunity to get vaccinated.
Employees should not make a vaccine appointment if they experienced COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the past 14 days.
The Company’s “temporary pay practice” remains for U.S. employees to receive their COVID-19 vaccine. You will be paid up to two (2) hours of paid time per vaccine dose, maximum of two (2) doses.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We expected some of our Brothers and Sisters have taken advantage of the opportunities to get the COVID-19 vaccinations provided for Boeing employees previously held at Delaware County Community College (DCCC), Delaware Wellness Center (Yeadon, PA), or have done so elsewhere. I have been informed by The Company that they are in the process of setting up an “on-site” vaccination event sometime in the upcoming weeks. We are waiting for further details on those dates and times. Please know you will be paid up to four (4) hours (2 hours single shot) to receive this vaccination.
Also, we did receive a communication from our UAW International President, Rory L. Gamble which states the following:
“As the persistent surge of COVID-19 cases increase throughout our country, hospitals near capacity and multiple state restrictions, we are requesting that all local union meetings and events continue to be suspended until June 30, 2021, due to these Coronavirus concerns. We will communicate any adjustments or modifications to this policy if encouraging changes occur with the status of this pandemic.”
Your UAW Leadership Team will maintain communication with International Leadership and will continue to monitor mandated gathering guidelines in the hopes of returning to “business as usual” real soon.
We are still very much frustrated that The Company chooses to NOT recognize the hard and large quantity of work our “support” classifications (Maintenance, Janitors, Tooling, Material Support) do every day. We strongly feel these specified classifications need additional UAW Local 1069 members supporting these responsibilities. Our factory and employees are detrimentally affected by the lack of support in these occupations. Please continue to demand these specialized employees when you need their services. Inform your UAW Leadership team when you do see managers performing OUR everyday jobs. Do not take it upon yourselves to work “out-of-class.” We urgently need more members to fill these necessary job classifications.
Lastly, we recognize that UAW Local 1069 members are participating and/or part of inquiries conducted by on-site as well as remote Corporate Investigators. This practice is very frustrating to us as we wish to work with ALL managers in our shops in the hopes of rectifying many issues by working together. If and when you must participate in ANY meeting or investigation, you are strongly urged to have a Union Representative accompany you at these meetings. ALWAYS MAKE THIS REQUEST.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We are pleased to inform our membership Delaware County has offered to help schedule some appointments for eligible Boeing employees to receive COVID-19 vaccinations at one of their mass vaccination sites this Saturday.
“At this time, Delaware County has directed Boeing to prioritize eligible employees who are required to work on-site and have higher risk of exposure to COVID-19.”
• Persons aged 65 and older
• Persons aged 16-64 with high-risk conditions
Employees who meet the eligibility requirements should register for an appointment through the link provided to them via email. An email was sent to on-site factory employees that included a link for scheduling vaccine appointments for a limited number of Boeing employees. Appointments will be available to all eligible Boeing Philadelphia employees. Only 200 appointments will be available this week (Saturday) for employees who fall into the Phase 1A category. We have been informed by the Company that starting next week, 4/5/21, that the state will open up vaccines to those in the category Phase 1B, which includes us as part of critical manufacturing. Boeing and the UAW will continue to work with Delaware County to create more opportunities for Boeing employees to get vaccinated if they desire. The county has also announced a much larger supply of vaccines beginning next week. For further details about who qualifies for the vaccine, please visit the Pennsylvania Department of Health website.
Eligible employees are NOT required to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Boeing does, however, “encourage” employees to take advantage of these opportunities and receive this vaccine.
